Salalah - Salalah Rotana Resort welcomed over 400 representatives from Germany's largest tour operators and travel agencies to the Ministry of Tourism's FTI Destination Pro and ReiseLand Conferences. Held for the first time in the Sultanate, the conferences promoted Oman and specifically the Governorate of Dhofar as a year-round destination for German and European holidaymakers.

Hossam Kamal, Salalah Rotana Resort's General Manager, said, "We believe an accumulative effort is required to put the Governorate of Dhofar on the world tourism and business map. Our aim since opening in 2014 has been to complement Dhofar's tourism development plans, and hosting these conferences enabled us to further reinforce Oman's position as the Middle East's destination of choice. This was all made possible with the support, vision and guidance of the Ministry of Tourism."
