Kuwait: March 16, 2011: Safir Hotel & Residences, in Fintas, celebrated its first anniversary by hosting a special gala dinner on 16 March marked by a host of special treats. The 146-room Hotel, which opened its doors last February, saw the attendance of a number of high dignitaries, ambassadors, diplomats, media and senior management.
Sharing highlights of the Hotel's achievements, Mr. Urs Weisskopf, General Manager declared in his welcome speech: "it is with a great sense of fulfillment that we celebrate our First Anniversary and, with big anticipation, we move into our second year of operation".
Mr. Weisskopf added: "We are very proud to gain such high level of recognition in a very short time after the opening. The local and international demand on our property shows appreciation to the efforts and hard work put together by all our Associates". He further concluded: "we have had a year full of events and we are very grateful to the support of the media, the local community and the unrelenting endorsement of all those who contributed to our success in positioning Safir Hotel & Residences among the finest properties in Fintas area in particular and Kuwait".
The dinner was followed by a cake cutting ceremony on the rhythms of the famous Kuwaiti Al-Arda's drums and tambourine. One of the ceremony's main features was the beautiful fireworks display on the Hotel's amazing beach side.
During the year, several new and exciting promotions were launched to entice guests to experience Safir Hotel & Residences. The Hotel also saw the launch of two exceptional restaurants: Chit Chat Restaurant Café, a casual dining experience in a hip atmosphere and the fine-dining Kuwaiti restaurant, Al Roshinah, offering flavors of Kuwait from the past and present in a simple, original and authentic atmosphere.
