Amman - On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Firas bin Raad, His Excellency the Chairman of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh has awarded the winner of the children’s race along with the Deputy Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant Mr. Firas Shabaneh, Run Jordan announced the results of the Children's Race, which was held at Al Hussein Park in an enjoyable, festive atmosphere.

The Children's Race was attended by more than 2,000 kids between the ages of six and 14 with their families. The race began at 9:00 AM opposite the five-a-side football field at Al Hussein Park, after a warm-up led by Fitness First. The Run Jordan team handed each runner a bag and a medal for their participation in the race, which ended in a joyful atmosphere with special children’s entertainment by Hikayat Simsim and Hamza Al-Hersh.

The results of the Children's Race are as follows:

6-8 Years (Boys): First Place: Mahmoud Muhanad 12:06 m Second Place: Obada Abu Atherah 12:22 m Third Place: Kamal Karajeh 12:51 m

6-8 Years (Girls): First Place: Ameerah Al Ju’arat 11:13 m Second Place: Malak Abu Salim 12:44 m Third Place: Warad Abu Ali 13:32 m

9-11 Years (Boys): First Place: Baha’a Aldeen Al ju’arat 10:51 m Second Place: Faahed Al ju’arat 11:02 m third Place: Qasem Al taba’a 11:50 m

9-11 Years (Girls): First Place: Lama Alju’arat 11:04 m Second Place: Ekhlas Husam 11:58 m Third Place: Sara Muhammad 12:27 m

12-14 years (Boys): First Place: Suliman Alju’arat 9:27 m Second Place: Hussain Qasem 9:43 m third Place: Saqer Alju’arat 9:44 m

12-14 Years (Girls): First Place: Naseeba Al Oshiabat 10:28 m Second Place: Hiba Fuad 10:36 m Third Place: Mai Al Oshiabat 10:51 m

Down syndrome (Boy) First place: Mohammad Muhesin 21:14 m

Down syndrome (girl) First place: Hadeel Saed 29: 13 m

For the third consecutive year, students from schools that are part of the Road Runners Program participated in the Children’s Race. 500 of these students were from Central District Schools, which helped Run Jordan raise awareness on the importance of adopting healthy a lifestyle at a young age and build a generation of professional Jordanian runners capable of competing on national and regional levels.

General Manager of Run Jordan Lina Al-Kurd thanked all those who contributed to the success of the race, which throughout the years has become a well-recognized sporting event for children and their families, one that is uniquely characterized by a fun and happy atmosphere.

Al-Kurd said that Run Jordan expects a significant number of participants in the LG Dead Sea Ultra Marathon, which will be held on Friday, April 14 for the 23rd time, with three different race categories:

the 50km Ultra Marathon, which starts at 6:00 AM at the Dead Sea Amman Tourist Beach; the 21km Half Marathon, which starts at 8:30 AM at the gate to the Baptism site; and the 10km Race, which starts at 10:00 AM two kilometers from the Baptism site intersection.
