Doha 16th June - Williams F1 driver Rubens Barrichello, together with team principal Sir Frank Williams will visit City Center Doha at 12 noon on Wednesday 17 November to promote the national Road Safety pledge campaign which is being supported by Qatar National Bank (QNB) and the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). 

Center Director Amer Sandawi welcomed the Williams F1 to the City Center and pledged his personal support to the campaign: "Road safety is a very serious issue and I'm glad to see Williams F1 actively participating in this campaign which is inspiring us to pledge to be safer drivers."  

The campaign is asking people in Qatar to pledge to be safe drivers by not speeding and wearing seat belts at all times.  

Sir Frank who is confined to a wheelchair due to a road traffic accident is one of the campaign's main advocates and has visited a number of venues in Qatar to drive the campaign message.  

The trip to City Center Doha is one of many on the team's itinerary.  With the conclusion of the current F1 season, team driver Rubens Barrichello and Sir Frank plan to secure more pledges for the campaign as well as raise awareness of the importance of safety.
