New Tourism, Business Opportunities and International connectivity through connecting Passengers between Fujairah and Abu Dhabi International Airport
19 September 2012, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Rotana Jet today commenced its new service between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Fujairah, making it the 3rd destination launched by the airline this year.
Upon departure from Abu Dhabi International Airport and landing in Fujairah International Airport the aircraft received a traditional water cannon salute, followed by a warm welcome at Fujairah International airport for all passengers on-board the first flight from Abu Dhabi.
Rotana Jet's Commercial and Planning Director Rajendran Vellapalath led an International and local media delegation onboard the Embraer ERJ 145 flight from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah.
The delegation was officially welcomed at Fujairah International Airport by His Excellency Mohamed Alsalami, Chairman Fujairah Department of Civil Aviation, His Excellency Ahmed Khalifa Al Shamsi, Chairman of Fujairah Tourism Authority, Mr. Mohammed Saif Al Askham, Director of Fujairah Municipality and Mr. Khaled Al Jassim, Director of Fujairah Chamber of Commerce.
Addressing guests on arrival, Rajendran Vellapalath said Rotana Jets' entry into Fujairah marked the first of our double daily operations within UAE.
"This is a key moment for Rotana Jet. Today marks a very special occasion as we celebrate our arrival into Fujairah that shows enormous potential and growth. With the introduction of Rotana Jet flight to Fujairah, the people of East Coast are now able to connect Abu Dhabi two times a day; either to do their business, or for short breaks or to connect on one of the several International flights departing from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
In a weeks' time, on 26th September, we will be connecting Al Ain with Abu Dhabi. Rotana Jet remains committed to connecting destinations that are underserved and have a market potential. Fujairah is an example of this and we will continue our expansion by adding other emirates to our network."
Rotana Jets' morning flight RG 107 will depart daily from Abu Dhabi International Airport at 1000hrs and will arrive in Fujairah International Airport at 1045hrs. The return morning flight, RG108, will depart Fujairah at 1130hrs, arriving in AbuDhabi at 1215hrs. The evening flight RG 109 will depart daily from Abu Dhabi International Airport at 1800hrs and will arrive in Fujairah International Airport at 1845hrs. The return evening flight, RG110, will depart Fujairah at 1930hrs, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 2015hrs. Both flight schedules are designed in such a way that it suits to connecting International Arriving/Departing Passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport as well as ideal for Tourists and domestic passengers.
