Rotana Cinema and Rotana Masrya channels have recently chosen Memac Ogilvy, the multinational advertising and PR agency as its local lead creative agency. Rotana was impressed by Ogilvy's strong creative ideas, its strength in operating in the emerging markets and its strategic planning process that was clear in the pitch process. 

Rotana is one of the largest entertainment companies in the Arab World as well as being a Pan-Arab media conglomerate. Under Rotana's group comes the following: a film production company, a magazine (Rotana Magazine), a record label Rotana Records as well as television (Rotana TV) and many others. Its TV network was launched in 2003 and since then it has expanded very quickly to include 11 free-to-air channels in 2012.

Out of Rotana's 11 TV channels, Memac Ogilvy will be in charge of both Rotana Cinema and Rotana Masriya respectively. The first was launched in December 2004 and it currently owns the largest and richest Arabic movie library in the world since it has over 2000 premium production films ranging from golden oldies to the latest releases and in between. 

The second was launched after the 25th of January revolution in Egypt as a general entertainment channel focusing on Egyptian shows, series and variety programs. It was founded specifically for Egypt and encompass with the changes that happened in Egypt.
