To promote Entrepreneurship culture and innovation spirit in ICT field, the Information Technology Authority (ITA), represented by Sas Center for Entrepreneurship, continues the registration at Sas48H challenge which is to be organized by ITA in cooperation with Bank Muscat for the second consecutive year during 31st October to 3rd November this year.
The challenge targets 100 enthusiasts with different experiences and backgrounds, including developers, designers, entrepreneurs, project managers and marketers to encourage them to turn their inventive ideas into reality and establishing emerging Omani companies in the ICT field, website and mobile services in particular. Participants will have the opportunity to work in 48 continuous hours under the supervision of a specialized team in business and technical areas. The participants will be divided into teams to work on various creative ideas in different areas like tourism, logistic support, open source, and other vital sectors in only 48 hours.

It is worth mentioning that the winning teams will receive award of up to OMR10000, and part of it will be allocated to courses and consultancies for the teams to develop their projects. In addition, the winners may have the opportunity to join the Sas Center for Entrepreneurship at ITA, which seeks to incubate and establish Omani emerging companies in ICT sector. These incubated companies will be provided with a range of services and facilities, including an equipped office in the knowledge Oasis – Muscat, technical consultancies, as well as monitoring, training, accounting, financial, marketing and legal services, government support and financial assistance.
