RAS Alkhaimah Public Services Department participates in the International Road Congress 2019 - Abu Dhabi

The Public  Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah is participating in the international road Congress  currently being held in Abu Dhabi, which is scheduled to take place from 6-10 October 2019 in the UAE Pavilion. The  department's delegation participating in the exhibition includes number of Public services Department Advisors , executive directors, headed by H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director General of Public  Services Department. The department's participation will come through a review of the Works Agency’s project and its successful application of the road and transportation network in Ras Al Khaimah, and the contribution of these modern roads to facilitate the flow of traffic on the streets of the emirate, and the project of Mount Jess roads developed. Which has contributed to the establishment of a sustainable infrastructure for an internal road network that conforms to the highest international standards, which will enhance the emirate's position as one of the tourism destinations in the country. H.E. Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi said that the Public  Services Department has taken responsibility for developing and increasing the quality of the emirate's roads, and is making great efforts to achieve greater compliance with road regulations and infrastructure in the UAE and the world. Communicating  with , experts and specialists during the International Road Congress .  He added that hosting the International Road Conference in the Middle East for the first time is an achievement and a great pride for the UNITED ARAB EMIRATES , which confirms the position of the developed country in this sector. Mount jaiss is the highest mountain in the UAE, rising nearly 1,900 metres above sea level. It is one of the mountains that make up the Stone Mountain Range, the summit of Mount Jaiss  is the lowest temperature in the UAE, reaching -3°C in winter, and the Public  Services Department has completed a unique mountain asphalt road with world-class specifications and huge foundation walls that are unique in man The last five kilometers were opened in the first third of the year 2017. The road consists of three lanes of the angle of the mile of the road ranging from 2 to 6% maximum, the completion of the second phase reached 25 months consisted of 8 stone based walls, implemented with high quality international technology and specifications and the technique of stabilization for mountain faces was implemented to protect the road from falling and finishing The rocks saw and the network of roads developed in the mountain provided the opportunity to reach the mountain ’top  with ease for cars and visitors. The mountain path includes a number of solar-powered lounges, including parking lots, restaurants and toilets, as well as other projects to be implemented by RasAlkhaimah Tourism Authority, which is of great importance to tourists and visitors from all over the world.
