Citi UAE Launches Citi Prestige its First Global Credit Card for Affluent Customers

Dubai: Citi UAE launched the Citi Prestige Card at an event at Citi's Smart Financial Centre in Dubai Mall. This new card is the first global credit card offering from Citi and leverages the bank's unique global footprint and relationships to deliver a world of experiences to card members.

In addition, a qualitative report sponsored by Citi and conducted by Nielsen, studied the disposition and needs of HNWI in the UAE towards their credit cards. The study revealed that affluent clients in the UAE prefer a credit card that provides them differentiated experiences and premium privileges that reflects their global lifestyle.

Citi Prestige is currently offered in eleven other countries including Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Australia, Thailand and the US and will be expanded to additional markets. Citi Prestige cardholders enjoy accelerated rewards, premium lifestyle benefits and services, including complimentary 4th night stay at any hotel worldwide, unlimited access to 500+ airport lounges worldwide for the primary and supplementary cardholders plus 1 guest each, expertise from a 24/7 global concierge and complimentary green fees to golf courses around the world.

Citi Prestige also features an annual anniversary points bonus, exclusive hotel memberships, rental car discounts, meet and greet services and the ability to earn unlimited reward points that never expire.

Citi Prestige is available to clients with a minimum income of AED 30,000 per month. It has an annual fee of AED 1500 and a retail purchase interest rate of 2.79% (2.99% for cash advances), with up to 51 days interest grace period on purchases. As an introductory offer, new customers receive 60,000 bonus Citibank Reward Points when they first spend on the card (terms and conditions apply).

Methodology of the report:
Sample of 25 participants were spread across males & females in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and comprised of current and potential Citi customers. Each participant earned a minimum income of AED 500,000 annually and invested a minimum of USD 100,000 in liquid cash during the same period of time.
