  • Following a decision made by the Qatari Government to merge and integrate national sports operations under a single umbrella, Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF), formerly known as Qatar Sports City, has deployed Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 to provide consistent enterprise resource planning (ERP) functionality across the Foundation's three key business units.

  • Qatar's Aspire Zone boasts some of the world's finest sport stadia and venues offering a unique sport, sports medicine, research and education destination for the international sports industry. Aspire Zone is able to service the highest sporting demands ranging from hosting major sports events to training and pre-competition camps to conferences and research as well as injury diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.

  • The three units operating Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) include the internationally renowned Aspire Academy, offering a comprehensive sports education program and unprecedented facilities of international caliber; the Aspetar Qatar Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Hospital, a Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) accredited Medical Centre of Excellence; and Aspire LOGISTICS, which manages world-class sporting venues.

  • Previously, the three business units had no cohesive ERP functionality, with one site running without ERP software and another using an end-of-life, ERP third-party application.

  • Oracle E-Business Suite R12 has enabled AZF to seamlessly integrate the three distinct business units, and provided them with genuine, enterprise-wide resource planning capabilities. Apart from this, Oracle solution has helped AZF build a single, scalable platform that supports their technology roadmap into the future.

  • Oracle E-Business Suite R 12, has also improved productivity across AZF by providing, for example, the same analytics and reporting capabilities for its consolidated human resources (HR) department via universal dashboards that provide consistency across the three previously disconnected business units.

  • The implementation of the Oracle solution was facilitated by Mahindra Satyam, an Oracle Specialized Partner of Platinum level that has achieved specialization across all Oracle product categories & industries.
