Amman, Jordan 29 May 2006- As part of his official trip to Jordan, the Sudanese  Minister of Higher Education His Excellency Mr. Michel Millie paid a visit to the Princess Sumaya University of Technology (PSUT). Welcoming him at the university campus was Jordan's Minister of Culture Mr. Adel Twaisi, and the President of PSUT Professor Hisham Ghassib

The distinguished guest and his delegation were received by the head of the PSUT Board of Trustees Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya Bint El Hassan who in turn took the opportunity to openly discuss prospects of joint cooperation between both PSUT and different universities in Sudan. A special interest was taken by both sides in creating joint programs that are to be geared towards razing the level of computer literacy for workers working in the illiteracy programs in Sudan.

Accompanied by Professor Hisham Ghassib, Mr. Millie toured the university campus whereby he was introduced to the different educational programs that the university has to offer. Impressed with all what he had seen and heard throughout his visit to PSUT, the Sudanese Minister of Higher Education expressed his warm thanks to the university's administration for their kind hospitality. He stated that he was deeply impressed by the high standard of both the educational and social programs that the university has to offer, and he left with a high sense of optimism, and a firm belief that the joint cooperation between both PSUT, the only specialized university in Jordan to offer educational programs relevant to the fields of Information Technology and Communications, and different Sudanese universities will in turn reap fruitful results.
