HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received the Australian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia His Excellency Mr. Kevin Magee at his office in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmad Altobaishi Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman, Ms. Nahla Alanbar Personal Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Ms. Raneem Alhaidary from the Protocol Department at KHC.
The meeting began as the Ambassador thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him. The two discussed the economic bi-lateral relations between their respective countries and the ambassador stressed the importance of maintaining this relationship through influential businessmen that have a strong presence, regionally and internationally such as Prince Alwaleed. Moreover, during the meeting, the Prince referred to KHC's investments in Australia through Citigroup, News Corp. and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Furthermore, Prince Alwaleed said that Australia was an example of an economically advanced country and highly developed in areas of tourism and technology.
In 2007, Prince Alwaleed received an Australian Parliamentary Delegation headed by Hon. Peter Slipper, MP and on a different occasion, HRH received an Australian Businesswomen's delegation headed by Ms. Fiona Hill.
