Manama - Preston Bailey, the world's pre-eminent event designer, arrived in Bahrain today to direct tomorrow night's evening VIP event to launch Durrat Al Bahrain's new brand.

Preston and his team of event designers have flown in from New York to transform the Banyan Tree Hotel and Resort into an incredible set that will let guests fully experience Durrat Al Bahrain's new brand.

After 27 years in the business of event design, Preston Bailey has become especially renowned for his ability to completely transform spaces into sumptuous, theatrical environments, translating clients' fantasies into awe-inspiring reality.  Preston's one-of-a-kind events, which include the most extravagant weddings and galas for Royal families across the globe, as well as working with clients such as Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey, Uma Thurman, Joan Rivers, Donna Karan, Liza Minnelli, Matt Lauer, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, Laurence Fishburne, Emmitt Smith and Bill Cosby.

Durrat Al Bahrain is owned by the Durrat Khaleej Al Bahrain Company, in which the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain each hold a 50 percent stake. The master planner/architect of the project is Atkins, the renowned engineering design and consultancy; project/development manager is KMC Bovis, a joint venture between the Kuwaiti Manager Company and Bovis Lend Lease and HAJ is the quantity surveyor for the development.
