Etisalat enables easy and convenient bill payment via 'phone with a 10% extra credit on Wasel recharges

Abu Dhabi, 7 May 2007 - Everyone in the UAE can now enjoy paying their GSM, fixed line, internet and E-Vision bills at their convenience thanks to a new payment service from Etisalat. Etisalat's new Mobile Payment Service allows customers to settle their GSM, fixed line, internet and E-Vision bills by mobile phone using a pre-registered credit card.

Etisalat's Mobile Payment Service removes the inconvenience of long queues, wasted time and missed payments. Customers can renew and recharge their Wasel account. It also currently offers a 10% additional credit on the recharge amount for Wasel prepaid accounts.

In order to use this service, customers should follow the following steps:

Step 1: Log on to www.etisalat.ae/online and register one of the existing accounts - mobile (GSM, Wasel), fixed line or Internet. Wasel customers will need to register at least one post-paid account as well as their Wasel subscription.

Step 2: Register the preferred credit card details on Etisalat's secure payment system, located on the Web site.

Step 3: Activate the accounts payments are to be made for.

Every time there is a GSM, fixed line, internet or E-Vision bill to pay, a customer only needs pick up their mobile phone, dial *122#, and follow the simple steps outlined in the menu.

The service offers multiple benefits like accounting consolidation, part-payment of bills, Wasel renewal and recharge and more. The service is available to all Etisalat customers with an Internet connection (Al Shamil and Dial up), television (E-Vision), fixed line and mobile (GSM and Wasel) subscribers.

Customers can change their credit card details at anytime by logging on to Etisalat's website. Credit cards from Visa or MasterCard can be used along with this service.

Etisalat was the first operator in the UAE to provide a convenient option for its customers to interact with the telco online.
