Palmerie Boutique, the authentic Moroccan store, opens its doors on May 1 in the Umm Al Hassam district introducing to Bahrain traditional Moroccan clothes, shoes, handpicked and perfected by Moroccan designer Lamyaa Meniaoui.
Items is sure to attract not only women in Bahrain but also from across the GCC as the boutique makes a distinctive mark with its selection of clothes and footwear that have never before been introduced.
The collection of over 200 dresses ranges from Jalabea's that can be worn with jeans to Takchita's or formal evening wear for wedding parties and formal events. Palmerie also offers a daily wear line for everyday use and a collection of jewellery from the renowned International French accessory company Zedes Monte Carlo, as well as designed belts, pocket books and handbags.
Lamyaa Meniaoui commented "I think all segments of society will be attracted to the Moroccan clothing as they have beautiful designs, colours and are conservative dresses. So Gulf women who have a discerning eye and an appreciation for quality will be attracted to this traditional and colourful clothing.
"As a resident of Bahrain for some years now, I believed there was a market here for these designs and so I have now opened my first boutique here and though I believe there is room for expansion in Bahrain first, in time I may consider GCC expansion too," added Lamyaa.
By bringing together authentic traditional clothing and vibrant unconventional colours and designs of Moroccan origin, the opening of Palmerie Boutique has added to the cultural diversity of the shopping experience in Bahrain.
