Massive building to be the first on Nakheel's iconic island

Dubai, June 13, 2007: Palm Deira, one of Nakheel Properties' iconic developments, has started work on a unique, two-storey sales center that will be opened to customers early next year, when bookings for property on the largest man-made island are due to begin.

Abdullah Bin Sulayem, Director of Operations, The Palm Deira said:

"The Palm Deira Sales Center will be a masterpiece of architecture, designed to reflect the true image of the project.  It will be an attraction in itself - a place to visit by tourists and investors alike.

"The Palm Deira will introduce new concepts in urban living.  It will incorporate the highest standards of construction, besides modern, integrated infrastructure facilities to support and blend with the sophisticated work and lifestyle space we plan to create."

The Palm Deira Sales Center, the first building to come up on the third of Nakheel's iconic palm tree-shaped islands, is being built on 29,000 square meters of prime land.

The two-storey building will have a total built-up area of 17,500 square meters.  The center will employ 450 highly trained professionals to market The Palm Deira to potential individual and corporate partners.

The building will include a VIP lounge, a viewing gallery with scale models of the island and its proposed structures, and a fully-equipped audio-visual room where visitors are given a virtual tour of The Palm Deira, in addition to  mockup areas where full-scale models of villas, apartments and offices will be on display to enhance visitor interest.
