Monday, September 29, 2003

The Orange Executive Team comprises the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and seven Executive Vice-Presidents.

Sol Trujillo along with Orange Executive Team were received and welcomed at Cairo International Airport by Osman Sultan, MobiNil's President & CEO. They also visited the great Pyramids of Giza, where they attended MobiNil's memorable celebration of the launch of GPRS under the brand name of "MobiNil Life".

The spectacular event took place at a legendary setting overlooking one of the world's wonders, the Giza pyramids. It was attended by Naguib Sawiris, Chairman of both Orascom Telecom and ECMS, around 1,000 CEO's, top officials from Egypt's government, arts & sports celebrities plus representatives of the country's press and media.

"MobiNil Life" is an exciting new experience of mobile communication that provides MobiNil's subscribers with a pool of information services enriched with sound, color, pictures and video. In other words, it is a suite of services and content that adds a new dimension to the mobile experience of MobiNil's customers through providing them with the services of Multimedia Messaging, Internet and Intranet access. It also offers them Multimedia Content, which forms a unique collection of selected content grouped under the channels of FUN LIFE, SPORTS LIFE, INFO LIFE and BUSINESS LIFE.

With the GPRS platform in place MobiNil Life's first pilot testing was introduced to the Egyptian market in January 2003; since then MobiNil has dedicated a specialized taskforce to work on customizing and tailoring the content accessible through the GPRS technology to serve the unique needs of the Egyptian market. MobiNil's philosophy has always been that it is never merely about being the first to launch any given service, but more importantly about being the first to do it right.

During their 3-day stay, Orange's executive team also visited MobiNil's retail shop at Mohandeseen and the company's call center at Agouza, where they witnessed how the most state-of-the-art technology as well as the highly trained employees are being used by MobiNil to provide the top standards of customer care to its over 2.6 million subscribers.

The visit to MobiNil is part of the Orange Group SA's policy of creating stronger relationships between central and local teams by convening regular executive team meetings in Orange companies worldwide.
