The DCA was established in 1983 to provide comprehensive care for children with different disabilities with a range of free therapeutic and rehabilitation services. The association's strategy is to establish a number of specialized centers in different regions in Saudi Arabia and to help disabled children's families to deal with the problems they are facing. The association also aims to enlighten and educate society on the causes of disability and means of prevention, thus helping to promote more positive attitudes towards disabled people. It also supports the scientific research that is needed to establish effective program. These services are provided through the association's centers located in Riyadh, Makkah, Jeddah, Madinah, Jouf, and soon in Hail & Abha.
