NIVEA VISAGE YOUNG recently tied-up with the affiliated NGO, 'Rock Challenge 2007' event to promote awareness of healthier lifestyle choices among students.
Rock Challenge is a performing arts event incorporating dance, drama and design spectacular which provides Dubai school students with an opportunity to express their creativity and talent.
It resulted in a professionally staged event with a turn-out of three hundred and fifty pupils, ages 13 to 18, from five high schools in Dubai. The Rock Challenge is also about having fun and making healthy lifestyle choices. The schools formed teams to showcase their talent through music and dance activities by producing an eight minute performance.
As the main sponsor of this year's Rock Challenge, NIVEA VISAGE YOUNG provided support to the event through a unique recycling initiative by utilizing one of NIVEA Creme's recent outdoor advertising banners that was displayed on Sheikh Zayed Road. The banner was recycled to produce trendy messenger bags, which were distributed to all participating students at the 'Rock Challenge' event.
Speaking on NIVEA VISAGE YOUNG's involvement, Mr. Jean-Manuel Canga Valles, Marketing Director said, "As part of the community, we believe in encouraging young people to be active, enjoy life and simultaneously push for a healthier lifestyle. This initiative further reinforced our ongoing commitment to the community and we are extremely pleased to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause and would like to congratulate all the participants on their success at their performances".
The Rock Challenge took place on 3rd February 2007 in front of 1,000 audience members for the first time in the UAE at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre.
