11 January, 2007 - Nissan Middle East today announced that it has recorded its highest monthly GCC sales exceeding 10,000 units in November 2006 for the first time in the last 21 years.

The trend in rising sales can largely be attributed to successful sales across the 2007 Year Model Nissan line-up which includes TIIDA hatchback and sedan, the all-new Pathfinder, the redesigned Sunny and the 'King of All Terrain', the Nissan Patrol.

The Nissan TIIDA, Nissan's first foray into the Middle East hatchback market, has reported increasing sales in all GCC markets exceeding total sales expectations since its launch. "TIIDA has been a brilliant seller throughout the GCC" said Toru Hasegawa, Managing Director at Nissan Middle East. "Our first entry into the hatchback segment has been greeted with great enthusiasm by the region's youth, in large part due to the spaciousness and stylish looks of the TIIDA."

Since the launch of the 2007 Year Model Nissan Patrol it has achieved record sales across the GCC markets that rely largely on performance off-road vehicles, something that the Patrol genuinely embodies. "The Patrol has been known as the King of All Terrain ever since its introduction to the region more than 50 years ago" explained Hasegawa. "In true off-road heritage, the Patrol has been selected as the official vehicle of the UAE Desert Challenge for three straight years, a testament to its performance and reliability in harsh desert terrain."

"Our growth in the region, and specifically in the GCC, has been phenomenal this year. With several new product introductions and consistent support from our regional National Sales Companies, Nissan Middle East is completely committed to the Nissan Value-Up initiative and we are certain that this growth will continue well into the New Year" continued Hasegawa.
