Dubai, 15 September 2004 - Designers from leading haute couture fashion houses in Paris such as Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-charles de Castelbajac and Van Cleef & Arpel were invited by Nissan to dress the new Micra car prior to its launch in Europe.

Eleven designers took part in this unique automotive fashion rally and were inspired by the car's exterior and interior design as well as its vibrant and trendy look. They were happy to showcase their talents through a non-typical method.

The car shortly became the preferred 'Top Model' of the Parisian fashion industry and this collaboration between the topnotch signatures of haute couture and Nissan resulted in eleven Micra's dressed uniquely to reflect trendy styles inspired by the car.

Jean-charles de Castelbajac house was inspired to create a patchwork where every centimeter of the car body becomes a page from a history book.

Yves Saint Laurent designer coiled a snake image languorously on the car body in an attempt to reflect an eternal love ode.

Another designer created a Ruby jewel lobster on the bonnet of the Nissan to add a fashion statement.
