Forty years after the Mini made motoring history by winning the Monte Carlo rally, the latest MINI Collection is celebrating the brand's unique success with a street wear and accessories range inspired by the victorious car's race number, 37.
The number is the central motif of the fashion collection that includes the must have for 2004, a varsity jacket for men and women. For women it comes as a snug, anthracite hooded sweatshirt with white stripes on waistband and sleeves, imprinted with the year 1964. The counterpart for him is a blue jacket with raglan sleeves, a ribbed collar and the winning number 37.
Fans of the cult car will love the T-shirts with the Union Jack motif: a sleeveless tank-top for her and a snugly fitting shirt for him. MINI Wave Surfer is the name of the piece of equipment used in "bodyboarding", a trend sport originating from the USA. To participate in this sport you should certainly be a good swimmer. Optimum body support is achieved by firmly embracing the board. Flippers, a wetsuit and a coiled or straight leash are recommended but not absolutely necessary. The body is secured to the board by attaching the leash to the wrist or the ankle. You can then try your luck at executing manoeuvres such as "airs", "duck diving", or "rolls".
The MINI Collection Wave Surfer (106.5 cm long and 55.5 cm wide) has an attractive design, is painted white and sports the MINI logo. It is suitable for children from eight years and adults up to a weight of 90 kilograms.
Being a trendsetter, the MINI Collection includes products for other trend sports such as boomeranging and frisbeeing. The MINI Boomerang requires practice and concentration, the MINI Fly-Bee skill and speed.
The MINI Boomerang is made of ten-ply Finnish birch, is painted blue and boasts a MINI logo. Instructions for throwing are included.
