Applications for funding scheme now being accepted
Abu Dhabi, UAE, October 26, 2009 - UAE nationals are being given the chance to further their educations in the USA, UK or Italy with Masters degree scholarship grants from The Emirates Foundation for Philanthropy.
The grants will support Emirati graduates at leading international universities, funding some or all costs of tuition, books, airfares and a personal allowance, as they pursue degrees important to the development of the UAE.
Areas which lack locally-trained specialists will be the focus of the programme, and outstanding Emiratis will benefit from scholarships to advance their own careers as well as to support the development of the UAE.
The grants are split into two categories, with The Emirates Foundation supporting Masters of Arts degrees in Museum Studies and related fields at universities in the US and the UK. A 'Study in Italy' programme will assist Masters of Science studies at top tier universities in Milan and Rome.
Eligible Scholarships or Grants are offered in the following fields of study:
Masters of Arts in Cultural Heritage, Museum Studies, Museum Education, Conservation, Historic Preservation and Curatorial Studies.
Study in Italy - Masters of Science degrees related to innovation, tourism management and different fields of engineering.
The Emirates Foundation will accept online applications until February 28, 2010. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted in spring 2010, with successful winners being announced in summer 2010.
