Cyprus Airways, the Cypriot national carrier, is increasing competitiveness on flights from Dubai to Europe with market-leading fares.
The airline has introduced a special return economy fare of just Dhs 1,400 from Dubai to all its 15 European destinations, including important cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, Amsterdam and Brussels. This fare, exclusive of taxes, will be valid until June 14. Business class tickets are Dhs 3,800.
"Our European services are via Larnaca, and Gulf travellers have the option of changing their flight times or travel dates, without any extra charge, subject to seat availability," said C K Hussain, Gulf Manager, Cyprus Airways.
For travellers wanting to holiday in the Mediterranean island, Cyprus Airways has a Dubai-Larnaca return economy fare of Dhs 1,150 and business class fare of Dhs 2,700, exclusive of taxes. Visitors from Dubai to Greece can fly to the capital Athens from Dubai for just Dhs 1250.
"Cyprus Airways' Dubai departure time of 00:05 hrs on Fridays, arriving in Larnaca at 02.35 hrs, gives UAE travellers the opportunity to spend an extended relaxing weekend in Cyprus," added Hussain.
Cyprus Airways flies twice-weekly from Dubai to Larnaca - every Friday and Sunday - using an Airbus A319 with 12 business class and 114 economy seats.
The carrier's Friday flight is non-stop to Larnaca while the Sunday flight, with an Airbus A320, leaves Dubai at 22.35 and is via Bahrain, reaching Larnaca at 02.25 on Monday, in time for convenient early morning connections to its European flights.
Cyprus Airways operates 16 weekly flights to London Heathrow and seven additional flights to other London airports - Gatwick and Stansted. The airline also flies four times a week to Manchester and twice-weekly to Birmingham.
The carrier serves 30 destinations including all major European and Middle East destinations. It also flies to Larnaca from Amman, Bahrain, Beirut, Cairo, Damascus, Jeddah and Riyadh.
