NetBotz Solution Maximizes Customers CCTV Investments

This news means that customers can fully leverage their existing investments in proprietary CCTV technology by bringing this visual information into the NetBotz solution, where its advanced digital features, like motion detection, can now be applied.

CCTVs are like silos, capturing visual information that can only be used one way-to display visual data. However, integrating CCTV data into the NetBotz solution means users can now take full advantage of its motion detection, advanced recording and advanced alarming features. All alert and picture data transmitted can be encrypted via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Moreover, any CCTV images can be stored and managed enterprise-wide by NetBotz Central, a powerful management platform, which manages a company's organization-wide NetBotz appliance deployment as well as all the physical threat data they gather.

CCTV cameras can range from those that watch over locations such as lobbies, retail stores and casino gaming sites to the exotic specialty visual capture devices such as underwater, pinhole, night vision and caustic environment cameras.

The current analog-to-digital conversion method has a number of drawbacks, including cumbersome, expensive and difficult-to-maintain cabling to integrate digital video recorders (DVRs) with CCTV cameras. In addition, DVR storage is typically distributed, making for an inefficient way to manage a company's visual surveillance data.
