NCS to develop a service delivery portal for the Government of Oman
Singapore & Oman - NCS Group, a leading regional information technology and communications engineering service provider in Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, today announced that it has signed a multi-million dollar deal with Information Technology Authority (ITA), Oman, to develop the Ubar Portal.
In a move towards a truly "Digital Oman", the Ubar Portal will serve as the new service delivery platform that connects the citizens and government of Oman.
NCS Group, the largest ICT service provider for the Singapore Government has been tasked with the design, delivery, implementation and maintenance of the Ubar Portal over a five year period. Upon completion, the citizens of Oman will be able to connect and access government information and services online, via the portal itself or via different channels such as other government websites, kiosks and even via mobile phones.
At the signing ceremony, Mr H.E. Mohammed Nasser Al-Khasibi, Secretary General, Ministry of National Economy, Sultanate of Oman and Chairman of ITA board commented: "The Ubar Portal is one of the key initiatives under the Digital Oman program.
