BARCELONA, Spain - Mobile World Congress 2008 - 18 February 2008 - Motorola is pleased to introduce world-famous artist Julian Beever to this year's Mobile World Congress. Dubbed the "Pavement Picasso," Julian was at the Port of Barcelona throughout the event, where he was creating a spectacular anamorphic work of art inspired by the style of Motorola's "sharper than ever" RAZR2 mobile handset.
WHAT: 3-Dimensional pavement drawing by world-famous artist, Julian Beever, inspired by the Motorola RAZR2.
WHEN: Commenced Monday, February 11, the art was completed Wednesday, February 13. Julian created his work of art from 9am-6pm daily.
WHERE: Port of Barcelona
WHO: Julian Beever is a British artist famous for his 3-Dimensional or "anamorphic" pavement drawings. Dubbed the "Pavement Picasso," the Internet has now brought his work worldwide attention. Julian's work appeals literally to the man (and woman) in the street. As he says, "Art shouldn't be locked away in galleries and libraries and books. Art should be for everybody."
