Hotel sources 66,000 kilograms of fresh locally-grown fruit and vegetables per year
Mussanah, June 8th 2014: Millennium Resort Mussanah is empowering farmers in the Al Batinah Governorate by using locally-sourcing fruit and vegetables throughout the resort to strengthen the local supply chain. In the past year, the Millennium Resort Mussanah has bought nearly 66,000 kilograms of fresh fruit and vegetables from eight farms in the region to supply the four onsite restaurants.
Reiner Thieding, Executive Chef at Millennium Resort Mussanah, said:

This is one of the resort's many initiatives to support the growth of local businesses and the community. The hotel is also increasing the participation of Omanis in the hospitality industry to contribute to the long term prosperity of Oman's tourism sector.
