Dubai, UAE: Aircraft Interiors Middle East and MRO Middle East opened today at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) with a Royal Tour of the event by H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation who took the time to interact with many of the 330 exhibitors to learn more about their products and services for the aviation industry.

With the aircraft interiors and the MRO markets both predicted to grow at above average CAGR rates, exhibitors at the event were keen to demonstrate their offerings to the attending airlines and potential buyers who had travelled from around the world to attend the co-located events.

Many key aerospace industry players attending the event saw it as an opportunity not just to meet suppliers and buyers but also to further relationships and announce new products. Magnetic MRO, a global provider of Total Technical Care for aircraft operators and lessors, and a Saudi MRO company First Premium for Support Services (FPSS) used the event to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for joint EASA-compliant MRO operations in Saudi Arabia and the Region.  Risto Mäeots, the CEO of Magnetic MRO signed the agreement with Sheikh Ghassan Attar, the owner and CEO of First Premium for Support Services, to develop a wide range of high-quality level aircraft maintenance services in Saudi Arabia and across the region.

In addition, Magnetic MRO subsidiary EngineStands24 used MRO Middle East as a platform to announce the launch of its new engine stands hub in Dubai, UAE in cooperation with an Emirati aviation company Chabok Aviation. Situated near Al Maktoum International Airport, the new hub will be able to deliver engine stands to major world locations within just a couple of days or even hours. It will store stands for narrow-body aircraft engines, including those for CFM56-5A/B, CFM56-7B and V2500. The warehouse will also be supplemented with a range of wide-body aircraft engine stands in the near future.

“Dubai is a strategic location for us, since it is situated at the heart of one of the largest aviation markets. It is also an important step for both Magnetic MRO and EngineStands24, as we keep expanding into the Middle Eastern MRO market,” said Daiva Žemaitė, the Head of EngineStands24.

“Over the next decade, the Middle East is predicted to generate $100.6 billion in MRO requirements - 10% of the world’s total demand,” said Lydia Janow, Managing Director/Events & Tradeshows, Aviation Week Network. “MRO Middle East is the perfect place for companies in the industry to learn about opportunities, network with the entire buying chain and position themselves to be part of this future growth.”

“The innovation in the aircraft interiors industry is incredible,” says Caryn McConnachie, Aerospace Director of show organisers Tarsus F&E LLC Middle East. “With the fantastic products on display here at AIME and MRO Middle East, I’m looking forward to seeing the impact on the industry as it moves toward the future.”

The show opened the day after the MRO Summit took place, where keynote speakers and panellists gave attendees an insight into the regional industry dynamics in addition to opportunities and challenges facing the industry.

AIME and MRO Middle East continue tomorrow, 12 February, at DWTC. Visitor tickets are free to industry professionals and registration is live now on aime.aero.
