Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The 8th Annual Middle East Lighting Design Summit, held with the support of Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council as the Official Supporting Partner and Etihad ESCO as the Official Government Partner is set to begin in a week’s time. Organized by Expotrade Middle East, the conference will be held on 29th and 30th of April 2019 at Roda Al Bustan, Dubai.
The program agenda features international experts Luke Lowings, Owner, Carpenter | Lowings Architecture & Design -UK, Alex Beim, Creative Director, Tangible Interaction Design – Canada, Kevan Shaw, Design Director, KSLD | EFLA Lighting Design – UK and Andrés Sánchez Alonso, Senior Associate, Lichtvision Design GmbH - Germany.

Across two days, over 45 lighting design experts from across the region and different parts of the globe will be part of more than 15 sessions, including panel discussions on topics ranging from human centric lighting to the importance of efficient public lighting, from the role of daylight in transforming spaces to integrating light as a design aspect for interiors.
With topics on the role of lighting designers, impact of digital developments in lighting, lighting considerations for productivity in the workplace, sustainable lighting strategies, transforming spaces using lighting, the agenda features a diverse range of topics that will interest attendees representing lighting designers, urban planners, engineers and architects.
At the conference, over 20 leading lighting manufacturers such as, LIGMAN, WebNMS, 3S Lighting, Lumenova, and LUG Lighting amongst many others will showcase their innovative lighting products and solutions to over 350 senior attendees from the region. LIGMAN will showcase one of their most exciting new products - the new Intelligent Light Column, or L-Column system for short and the L-Management smart lighting control system. L-Column offers an unrivalled suite of pole-configurable onboard technology options such as an EV Charger, CCTV, Wifi, Intercom, beacon, speakers, unlimited lighting options and even a weather station.
The conference will end with the Delegate Choice Awards, wherein the delegates will nominate for products under the Most Innovative Product Award and the Best Design Award, based on the solutions showcased at the summit.
