Abu Dhabi  - The Integrated Transport Center (ITC) at the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) in Abu Dhabi announces that Parking Division’s (Mawaqif) Grievance Committee is available for those who wish to challenge any tickets received, during the reconciliation period within 15 days from the date of the violation ticket. This is one of the many initiatives presented by DMAT in order to improve the transport infrastructure in Abu Dhabi.

“It is possible for someone to raise a grievance if he/she wants to challenge the ticket received. The relevant committee will review all grievance submitted,” said Mr. Mohammed Hamad Al Muhairi.“This service is free of charge and individuals can visit one of Mawaqif Customer Care Centers, which are: DMAT HQ in Al Maqta, Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) HQ, Electra Customer Care Center, Al Falah Street, Central Market Customer Care Center, Abu Dhabi Commercial Properties, Customer Care Centers in Traffic Management and Patrol, ADM – Marina Mall, ADM – Mushrif Mall, ADM Al Bateen Center, Unified Marine Permits Center, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Etisalat Customer Care Center. After that, the requester should fill out the Grievance Form and include a copy of the ticket,” he noted.

Al Muhairi, Mawaqif Director, urges drivers to comply with Mawaqif services rules. Adhering to the regulations of Mawaqif will maintain the flow of the traffic and people’s safety. He also declared that parking cars in illegal areas would affect the traffic movement badly, ruin the level of safety and the general look of the Emirate.
