Dubai, 25 October 2007 - Martin Braun, owner and designer of Martin Braun watches, today presented his signature timepiece collection along with the latest models from his portfolio in Dubai.
Martin Braun, whose watches comprise one of the premium brands in the BinHendi Watches and jewellery division, is a master watchmaker who learned and honed his craft in Germany's classical jewelry and watch making city Pforzheim. Years of work with vintage timepieces have sharpened his skills and awakened a desire in him to recreate and improve upon classic designs in watch making.
Above all, he always dreamt of making a new and innovative complication to indicate the wearer's local time of sunrise and sunset. Ten years in the making, his dream became a reality in the year 2000 with the introduction of the EOS (Greek Goddess of the Sunrise) model.
EOS and its "offspring" Boreas are certainly the highlights of Martin Braun's collection. These are two timepieces featuring astronomical complications made possible by modules especially designed by the master. EOS models display two registers indicating sunrise and sunset and are customized for the individual wearer's city based upon its longitude and latitude
Although the EOS collection might be more familiar to most watch fans, Martin Braun's Classic Collection in no way stands in its shadow. Each of the models in this collection, in addition to being "classic" in design and technology, tells its own story. Among them are Teutonia, the vintage German thoroughbred, Grande Chrono, the elegant chronograph, Square Chrono, the modernistic Acropolis, La Belle, the awe-inspiringly beautiful product of centuries-old traditions, Luminator, the sporty timepiece for everyday wear, Classic, an elegant homage to days of yore, and La Sonnerie, the ringing wonder. These mechanical timepieces feature the same attention to detail as do the models found within the EOS Collection, including Martin Braun's signature coined-edge case featuring a total of 122 half-circles, his oignon-style crown designed for easy gripping and comfort on the wrist, and the beautiful straps screwed into their lugs for extra security and quality.
Speaking to the local press, Braun said: "I am delighted to have been invited to come to Dubai by BinHendi Enterprises and to be able to present my collection of watches in this vibrant, dynamic city. I am aware that consumers here are some of the most discerning in the world and that wearing the right timepiece is an important part of the culture.
Braun continued: "Our range offers mechanical innovative masterpieces of classical design that are eye catching and can be handed down through generations. It is great to see the positive response the range has received here and I hope to be selling my timepieces in Dubai and across the Middle East for many years to come."
Mr Mohi-Din BinHendi, President of BinHendi Enterprises said:" It is a great honour for us to have one of the world's finest master watch makers in Dubai with us and to be able to gain a very clear understanding of the creative process involved in designing these remarkable timepieces. At BinHendi we are immensely proud of our diverse portfolio of high quality timepiece brands, each is significant and striking in its own right, through design and technology, and Martin Braun is an absolute reflection of this."
