Dubai, 01 March 2004 : Elliott Masie, the internationally recognised analyst and futurist, has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the eLearning-Arabia.com conference, to be held on April 27 - 28 as part of Dubai’s Knowledge Month.
More than 200 professionals from the region are expected to gather at the event, organised by knowledgenetwork (knet), the Dubai-based learning and training consultancy, to debate the latest online issues.
The theme of this year’s conference is Energising Business Performance, and Masie, along with other speakers, will discuss a number of issues with delegates, such as the most effective deployment of e-learning in the corporate world, aligning e-learning with business bottom-line, and the adaptation of online learning to different cultures.
Key to this year's conference will be the integration of international and regional best practices.
Abdulqader al Khaja, CEO of knet, said: “Elliott Masie is one of the world’s pioneers of e-learning – and is acknowledged as the first analyst to use the term. His main focus is to help companies use technology to help the spread of knowledge, learning and collaboration, as well as to maximize efficiency in the use of resources and combined wisdom to facilitate the decision-making process.
“Elliott can also offer plenty of practical insight, as he leads the e-Learning Consortium, a coalition of 180 Fortune 500 companies exploring the future of technology in the workplace, including JPMorganChase, Goldman Sachs, American Express, UPS, Pfizer, National Security Agency, and the US Department of Defence.”
The e-Learning debate is at the top of many companies’ agendas, as they look to harness the power of the Internet for bottom-line benefit.
eLearning-Arabia.com will form part of Knowledge Month at Knowledge Village in Dubai, which is designed to stimulate growth in the training and education sector.
knet is an independent training and management consultancy, and specialises in live speaker seminars and business conferences including IHR Arabia. It provides access to a network of international, regional and local organisations, such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, Institute of Administrative Management, and the Institute of Leadership and Management.
