Amman, Jordan: LG Electronics (LGE) recently announced the launch of the latest handset forming part of its premium Black Label series of mobile phones in Jordan, the LGE Shine (model: KE970).
This new handset was officially launched at a gala dinner event held at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman on September 3rd 2007. The event was attended by representatives of the local media, representatives from all four mobile operators in Jordan, and members of the LGE management team.
General Manager of the LGE Amman Branch Mr. Kevin Cha also took the opportunity during the event to welcome and to introduce to the attendees LGE's new mobile handsets dealer in Jordan 7Global.
During his introductory speech Mr. Cha said, that the year 2007 is LGE's year to shine. "I am sure that this phone will help the LGE name shine in the Jordanian market, and the LGE Shine handset is indeed a stunning, full-metal bodied slider phone. It offers its users the best of both worlds, and combines an amazing look with high standard technical specifications including expandable memory (MicroSD card) and an auto focus camera by Schneider Kreuznach amongst other things."
He also used this event as an opportunity to welcome both the LGE Media Club's new and returning members. He also stated that the LGE Media Club is always committed to providing a valuable experience for its members through organizing exhilarating events, and offering the latest products from LGE at agreeable prices.
During the event a raffle draw was also held for all Media Club members and 5 lucky received a brand new LGE Shine handset.
From his end, Mr. Hani Qudsi - Chairman of 7Global, added that the Jordanian community tends to demand so much more than just a regular mobile phone. "The LGE Shine with its many innovative features including a comprehensive media player with multi-codec support (MP3, WAV and ACC++), its real spectrum display, and its Bluetooth and USB connectivity trends to comply with these realized demands and even more unrealized ones. During the event, he invited all attendees to visit the 7Global showrooms located within the Al Asadi complex in Gardens Street. He promised that visitors of the showroom will not only will they be able to survey the latest handsets and mobile communication devices provided by LGE, but they will also be able to benefit from premium quality services, maintenance services and lots more.
Furthermore, 7Global announced the names of the sub-dealers that will be working on an individual basis with the mobile operators in Jordan. Namely they are; Seven Link - exclusive sub-dealer for Fastlink, Al A'azm - exclusive sub-dealer for Orange pre-paid; Oxform Telecom - exclusive sub-dealer for Orange post-paid; and Mohammad Al Bakhit Company - exclusive sub-dealer for Umniah.
When closed, Shine oozes sophistication with a perfectly reflective 2.2" screen. Slide open the super-thin brushed metal body and the 'magic mirror' full colour screen comes to life, while Shine's keys are bathed in a cool blue light. Access to Shine's menu system is by an easy-to-use multi-function scroll key.
It is worth mentioning that LGE officially launched its Shine handset at a press conference it held in Dubai last April. During the conference, the company announced that Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zughbi will be the brand ambassador for this model and that she will be representing the LGE Shine model: KE970 throughout the region. On her part, Nawal Al Zughbi, who was also present at the conference, promoted the phone on her website. Moreover LGE launched another website exclusively designed to promote this new model. LGE's new website can be accessed on: http://shine.lgmobile.com. The company anticipates high sales for this phone in the region, since according to its slogan; this phone is "Born to Shine".
