Kuwait: January 24, 2011: Safir Hotel and Residences in Fintas celebrated the opening of        'Al Roshinah', the first authentic fine dining Kuwaiti restaurant in a five star hotel. The restaurant was inaugurated by Sheikh Daij Al Khalifa Al Sabah in the presence of a number of high dignitaries, ambassadors, diplomats, media and senior management.

General Manager, Mr. Urs Weisskopf and the entire hotel's management team welcomed the guests upon their arrival to a joyful experience that evoked memories and capturing moments from the country's heritage.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Weisskopf said: "We are delighted to have Sheikh Daij Al Khalifa Al Sabah inaugurate our icon restaurant that reflects a genuine identity of the local Kuwaiti culture in a modern style representing Kuwait today".

Simple, original and authentic, the Al Roshina's most essential design element is predominantly the Roshina - a niche in the wall which is a traditional architectural element in the Kuwaiti house and the art works that reflect scenes from life in Kuwait in the past but in a very modern technique.

"With the launch of Al Roshina, we will revive the genuine cultural experiences through modern context reflecting a young, vibrant and modern country such as Kuwait and in the same time maintain the essence of Kuwaiti food through real - life experiences".

The Al Roshina fine dining restaurant, designed and created by Safir International Hotel Management's technical and design department along with the food and beverage department, opens its doors to guests every day for lunch as of 12 noon until 3:30pm and for dinner from 7:00 pm to 11:00pm.
