Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Nayef Al Fayez, Minister of Tourism & Antiquities, all partner travel agents in Jordan were invited to a thank you event at Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea as an appreciation to their support to Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea & Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea during the past year. "Celebrating Famous Events in 1897" was the theme of the ceremony where invitees had the opportunity to discover the history of Kempinski as being the oldest luxury European hotel in the world, founded in 1897, along with other famous cultural, scientific, historical events and great inventions that took place in that year which brought a remarkable change to the entire world. The ballroom was decorated with beautiful photos of these famous events and inventions from 1897.

The ceremony started with a beautiful introduction by Mrs. Nadia al Zoubi, the famous Rotana Radio Presenter who welcomed the audience and added a spirit of excitement to the ambiance. Mr. Patrick Ritter, General Manager & Area Director Jordan delivered a welcoming speech thanking His Excellency Mr. Nayef al Fayez and the esteemed guests for attending this prestigious event and for their enormous support towards the properties of Kempinski in Jordan. He reiterated "Kempinski Hotels in Jordan aim to provide its international and local guests with true Jordanian hospitality embedded with a remarkable European flair". 

The Top Travel Agents for Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea & Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea were recognised for their outstanding support during 2011 by distributing unique portraits of each hotel signed by the General Manager of the hotel as a gift of appreciation. H.E Mr. Al Fayez thanked the management of the hotels for organising this event which brought the tourism industry family all together during this "one of a kind event', according to his Excellency.
