Saudi Soccer Legend seeking school's from all over Saudi Arabia to join in the Frosties Football Challenge
KSA, September - Frosties, the children's favourite breakfast cereal under the Kellogg's brand are launching a national football competition for schools throughout Saudi Arabia. The Frosties football challenge is looking to recruit 35 schools each from Jeddah, Damman and Riyadh to take part in the exciting knockout tournament.
Majid the Saudi Soccer Legend and supporter of the event is currently appealing to Jeddah, Damman and Riyadh schools to sign up and join in the challenge which will kick off officially in the middle of September. After schools have signed up, tryouts will be held in which students have a chance to prove whether they can make the cut or not, and represent their school in the tournament. Teams of 8 students from each school will participate in a knock out round which will decide which school is worthy of lifting the Frosties Football Challenge Trophy.
"This is going to be a great tournament with a load of young footballers coming together to compete in a fun competition to win a trophy for their school. I am so excited about the event and I hope that lots of schools will be encouraged to take part in the event," Majid said.
On the day, children will also be able to take part in a range of speed and accuracy football skills tests. The best overall participants from the individual rounds will be awarded with trophies and certificates for their outstanding performances.
"This is a wonderful experience for the youth of Saudi Arabia to come together, compete in a great competition and most of all have a good day out. Football is also an excellent way to exercise and I hope that by hosting an event like this, it will encourage more youngsters to take up football and other sports for a healthy lifestyle," commented Kellogg's General Manager, Martin Tomlinson.
The children taking part in the event will have a chance to meet Tony the tiger - the face of Frosties and Football legend Majid. There will be many activities to enjoy asides from the football including skills tests, face painting and other activities.
