'Jotun Inspiring Ideas Theatre' to feature leading international interior and landscape design experts
Jotun Paints, one of the world's leading producers and suppliers of paints, has announced that it will introduce customer to 2007 color trends and interior design paints at the upcoming Emirates Today Ideal Home Show. Jotun will display its entire range of interior products at the exhibition, which runs from November 30 to December 3, 2006 at the Airport Expo Dubai, in a bid to build on its recent success and consolidate its status as the region's premier paint company. The company is sponsoring the 'Jotun Inspiring Ideas Theatre' and will be present at stand IF-60 at the exhibition.
At the Emirates Today Ideal Home Show, Jotun will focus on introducing the 2007 colour trends and feature one of its most popular brands - Pearl. Jotun's Pearl is a product that provides a new concept in decorative effects by creating a unique 'Mother of Pearl' finish for interior walls. Pearl's distinct high-quality shimmer responds to the positioning and intensity of any light source or intelligent lighting solution, allowing the soft wavy effects normally found in a real pearl to shine through.
Jotun's colour trends will be a selection of distinct colours that are set to shape the wall design trends for 2007, giving customers an early insight into next years leading trends. Each year, several new shades are added to Jotun's colour trends based on extensive research and customer feedback.
The company will have an interactive stand at the show that will feature a full range colour bar, the colour advisor, Pearl display, and live application of techniques by a professional Jotun Paints applicator. The stand will also include different environments and themes in a bid to inspire and teach visitors how to match colours to different furniture and fixtures. Further, Jotun will have seminars on Color Psychology and Painting Techniques where the visitors will be encouraged to participate and apply the knowledge acquired.
"Jotun is proud to be a part of the Emirates Today Ideal Home Show, the region's pre-eminent event that showcases various aspects of homes including Interior Design, Kitchen to Table, Home Tech and Arts and Crafts. As a consumer-centric show, it gives us the opportunity to connect directly with our end users, which allows us to understand their needs to a greater extent and helps us improve on our service offering," said Linda Tarifi Kender, Interior Concept Manager - Regional Marketing, Jotun Paints. "We will also be sponsoring the 'Jotun Inspiring Ideas Theatre' and seek to inform home owners, primarily women, through our seminars on colour psychology, of the latest paints, designs and techniques."
As a part of the show, Jotun has also planned a raffle promotion - "Stroke of luck" - for visitors to the Jotun stand. During this promotion, Jotun will give visitors a chance to win free house colour consultations and the opportunity to have his/her house painted for three lucky winners.
"Through the 'Jotun Inspiring Ideas Theatre', we aim to involve leading interiors design and landscape experts in an attempt to showcase a complete range of solutions for visitors. The colour trends for 2007 and Pearl that we will be showcasing at the show are bound to interest a lot of visitors as all our new colours and finishes are a result of thorough research," added Kender.
Jotun Paints was the first to open a manufacturing unit in the UAE in 1975 and the company's continued success has been inextricably linked to consistent investment and expansion in the region. Jotun Paints had recently secured an AED 25 million project to supply high quality paints and coatings for the Discovery Gardens of Nakheel in Dubai. This includes the supply of interior and exterior paints for the entire block of buildings that comprise the project, within a stipulated timescale of April 2007.
"With the delivery of new units in 2007, Jotun Paints is poised to increase its market share in the coming year and will look to target new homeowners who would be looking to decorate their homes in a special way. The Dubai based operation has become an integral component in Jotun's success globally and for this reason we will continue to invest and expand in the region," concluded Kender.
