Dubai, UAE, 8th February 2007 - From the GCC to Germany, Russia and Austria, the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club and Centre of Excellence has received praise for its excellent facilities from both local and international sources.
As host of a very successful Dubai Shooting 2007, the world's richest shooting competition, the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club has been at the centre of attention during this major sports event in Dubai. "The Jebel Ali Shooting Club is among the best three clubs in the world", said Majdi Lutfi, and various others who attended the competition had glowing reports for the excellent facilities as well.
In addition to the championship-standard Shooting Club, the facility is also home to the Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence, which incorporates two football training pitches. With the UAE football team winning the 18th Gulf Cup championship in January, football is set to experience unprecedented growth in the UAE and Dubai, and the Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence has already facilitated huge developments in the sport here in Dubai.
Red Bull Salzburg, who trained at the Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence in January while staying at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, has initiated the season as this year's first international club to conduct warm-weather training in Jebel Ali. Coach Lothar Matth?us, who has himself played in five World Cups, had glowing reports of the team's stay in Dubai. "I'm really very pleased with the training camp. The team encountered perfect facilities and showed a lot of dedication in both training and the friendly matches. We are finding the conditions here to be terrific and the atmosphere is good," he said.
Since Red Bull Salzburg, Dynamo Kiev and Partizan Belgrade have also reported for training at the Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence, following the footsteps of clubs such as Bolton Wanderers, West Ham and Blackburn Rovers who trained there last year.
The interest and excitement over football however, is not just limited to top international clubs. The Jebel Ali International Shooting Club and Centre of Excellence continues to develop sport on a local level as well. The Corporate Football Tournament now stars 20 different teams, while the Women's League will kick off their second season next week at the Jebel Ali International Centre of Excellence. The Children's Football Academy also proved to be a huge success and has rapidly gained popularity amongst children from all nationalities, including UAE nationals.
With its rich offering of activities for sports clubs, schools, youth clubs and corporate businesses from across the globe, the Jebel Ali International Shooting Club and Centre of Excellence continues to promote Dubai on a global scale.
