IDEA International Company, Saudi Arabia, is announcing establishment of the first regional Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride plant to be located in Jubail Industrial City in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. A new company called "IDEA Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride" has been formed to manage the project. The company will produce 500,000 MTA of Soda Ash and Calcium Chloride in Phase one of the project.
Mr. Marwan AlGhurair, Member of the board of IDEA Company, mentioned that IDEA has worked for the last three years on developing the project, conducting studies, securing raw materials and acquiring all required licenses and permits that include the allocation of 51 hectares at the Royal Commission of Jubail, allocation of Gas by Saudi Aramco, allocation utilities required to operate the plant as well as other plant utilities. The company has also completed technology selection and supply agreements for all raw materials. The company will offer more than 1000 employment opportunities.
Mr. Marwan said that a key factor in the project success is the support received from local authorities including Saudi Aramco, Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals and Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu.
