Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia -04th Sep, 2006: His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, president of the Arab Thought Foundation, yesterday announced the launch of the conference's official website, www.arabstrategies.org. The launch took place in HH Prince Khalid's office in Riyadh, in presence of His Royal Highness Prince Bandar Bin Khalid Al Faisal, Chief Executive Officer of the Arab Thought Foundation Fifth Conference (Fikr 5), Mr. Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Ammari, Conference Executive Director, General Manager of the company and developer of website, and several other VIP attendees.

The Arab Thought Foundation Fifth Conference (Fikr 5) will be held at Habtoor Grand Hotel in Beirut, on December 2 and 3 2006. The theme of the conference is "Arab Strategies for the Global Era", a topic was agreed upon in the recent meeting held by the Foundation Board of Trustees. 

"The conference will focus on energy, investment, media, technology and social responsibility. Bringing together the most intelligent and insightful businessmen and scientists; the Arab Thought Foundation aims to develop a long term strategic plan for Arab nations. The conference also provides a forum to discuss freely and independently the status of Arab world in a global environment," said HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal.

 "Fikr 5 will be an important addition to specialists in the fields of energy, investment, technology, media and social responsibility through topic discussions that will take place with more than 100 spokespeople from around the world.  The website launch will allow communication between the organization and prospective attendees at the largest thought conference in the Arab world this year," said Prince Bandar Bin Khalid Al Faisal, Conference Chief Executive Officer.

"Fikr 5 was developed to inspire the Arab world to compete on the worldwide arena with a united, integrated and comprehensive strategic plan.  It will also examine the latest developments in the global market and its effect on different industries.  These discussions are very important as it will simplify Arab collaboration with the rest of the world," added Prince Bandar. 

The website will provide an opportunity to communicate interactively with the public. Information on Fikr 5, details of the conference, topics to be discussed, participants and sponsors can be viewed on the website. Registration for participation is also available through the website, including a section for opinions and recommendations. It will feature the strategy and goals of the conference as well as workshops that can be undertaken.
