Company receives 2008 Europe CXOs' Choice Award for Overall Best Brand of Desktop Computing for Quality and Reliability
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - HP Middle East today announced the expansion of its business portfolio with a new, secure performance business desktop series.
The company introduced the top-of-the-line, business-class HP Compaq dc7900 Business Desktop PC series with up to 87 percent efficient power supplies(1) and new iron-clad security features to handle the most demanding workloads.
"HP continues to deliver the innovative computing solutions needed to drive a successful business--providing energy efficient, reliable products with stronger security solutions that help our customers stay focused on their business instead of the technology that runs it," said Louay Helaby, Business Desktops Category Manager, PSG, HP Middle East. "The business desktops introduced today can improve both day-to-day operations and the bottom line for our customers small and large by providing greater reliability, security and productivity."
In September HP was also awarded the 2008 Europe CXOs' Choice Award for Overall Best Brand of Desktop Computing for Quality and Reliability from Frost & Sullivan, the Growth Partnership Company.
According to the independent, non-sponsored survey, conducted by Frost & Sullivan's Competitive Benchmarking Services group, 96 percent of HP customers report overall satisfaction with HP desktop computers. Supporting these overall levels of satisfaction, HP customers also report high levels of satisfaction with HP's customer service and value (both 77 percent very/somewhat satisfied) - an outstanding testament to the HP brand.
Additionally, HP leads in the desktop computing feature that is rated "most important" among all desktop computer features tested: quality and reliability. Specifically, 89 percent of Europe CXOs rate quality and reliability as "very important" and another 10 percent rate this feature as "somewhat important."
"The level of satisfaction is overwhelming," explains Tonya Fowler, Director of Competitive Benchmarking Services at Frost & Sullivan. "The results of the survey speak for themselves, and the winner is clear - HP."
Business-class PC with energy efficiency, enhanced reliability and stronger security
Whether in the back office of the largest retailer or on the desk of a CEO, the new HP Compaq dc7900 Business Desktop PC series features the latest technology which includes added security, productivity and power-saving features, leading to a more reliable computing experience.
With up to 87 percent efficient power supplies(1), the dc7900 packs greater performance into an environmentally friendly footprint. The dc7900 is ENERGY STAR® 4.0 qualified and Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT™) Gold registered. Energy-conscious businesses can further reduce their power consumption with HP Power Manager. HP's Power Manager allows users to personalize the PC's power settings for an optimal mix of performance and conservation, ultimately reducing their PCs' energy usage and environmental impact.
Additionally for those businesses using dual monitors, the dc7900 has integrated dual monitor support, with both VGA and DisplayPort interfaces, thus eliminating the need to purchase a dual headed graphics card. For those businesses that require triple and quad monitor support, the dc7900 allows users to integrate the latest graphic card and display technologies. In addition, it allows users to use only one type of graphics card in each of the dual PCI Express x16 slots, resulting in increased performance and simplification.
Customers can also opt for additional security with two new features in HP's ProtectTools, a security suite that allows customers to personalize the levels of data protection. New features such as Privacy Manager allow customers to securely exchange e-mails with a digital signature, while File Sanitizer allows customers to easily and permanently remove data from a PC prior to disposal.
The dc7900 features the new HP Firefox Virtual Browser, a virtualized run-time environment that corrals malicious content from a user's Internet interactions and removes unwanted programs with one click of a button. This preventative measure potentially limits the need to conduct a scan, repair and reinstall applications and security settings.
HP Compaq dc7900 Business Desktop PC series comes in three flexible form factors, including a space saving ultra-slim desktop, a small form factor providing an optimal mix of small size and expandability or an expandable, convertible minitower.
