HP are the print sponsors of the exhibition. The photographs at the exhibition are printed on HP's latest offering Z3100. The HP Designjet Z3100 expands HP's professional printing portfolio with an automated, intuitive experience in image reproduction for creative professionals. The Z3100 has the industry's first-ever embedded spectrophotometer that greatly simplifies accurate colour-matching for the HP Designjet Z3100 12-ink printers - bringing to life true, vivid colours with the touch of a button. Professionals ultimately save time and effort as they can easily and consistently produce the exact colours they envision, time and time again. Using HP Vivera pigment inks, the Designjet Z3100 ensures unparalleled photo permanence - 200+ years lightfastness - on a wide variety of HP media. About Magnum Photos and HP
In 2005 Magnum Photos entered into a printing partnership with HP. This partnership was the formal extension of a relationship that had seen Magnum collaborate with HP on various successful projects since 2003 including Magnum in May in 2004 and the touring of the "Celebration of Colour" exhibition in 2005. Magnum's partnership with HP enables Magnum photographers to use HP printers and technology for editing, book proofing and the printing of portfolio's and exhibition quality prints. Magnum photographers in turn provide feedback to HP on what they require from a digital printer in order to achieve the best possible results. The fruit of this collaboration became evident in September 2006 when HP's new line of printers was launched at Photokina in Cologne. Three bodies of work in Martin Parr's short retrospective "Assorted Cocktail" were printed on the new Z series printers and were exhibited in the Visual Gallery at Photokina. The four Magnum offices in London, Paris, Tokyo and New York utilize HP solutions, including the new HP Designjet Z3100 and the HP Photosmart 9180.
