Dubai, UAE, May 5, 2003 – Grand Hyatt Dubai, which opened its doors on March 18, is preparing to welcome an influx of guests and delegates as Hosted Buyer Hotel for Arabian Travel Market 2003 – the Middle East’s premier travel and tourism exhibition - which takes place from tomorrow until May 9 at the Airport Expo Dubai.
“We are extremely proud to have been appointed as one of the hosts for Arabian Travel Market,” announced Peter Fulton, General Manager, Grand Hyatt Dubai, adding: “The event is a wonderful platform for us to showcase the facilities of Grand Hyatt Dubai and introduce ourselves as one of the largest and most advanced hotel conference facilities in the region.”
The 674 room property will host 70 of the world’s leading Meetings, Incentive, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) buyers and 100 of the top travel purchasers from throughout the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) during the exhibition, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the first-class amenities of Grand Hyatt Dubai.
Grand Hyatt Dubai is ideally situated just 10 minutes drive from the Airport Expo Dubai and Dubai International Airport, towering beside the city’s historic Creek and close to the Creek Golf and Yacht Club. In addition to hosting the largest and most advanced hotel conferencing facility in the region, the hotel also offers guests and visitors an unrivalled choice of dining and leisure facilities as well as a residential apartment and villa complex, all set with 37 acres of lavishly landscaped gardens.
A stunning indoor landscape greets guests in the hotel’s atrium, with over 40,000 square feet of indoor garden, featuring a myriad of bridges crossing several streams. The 14 bars and restaurants at Grand Hyatt Dubai afford diners a view of both the hotel’s indoor and outdoor landscaped grounds, and several offer al fresco dining on airy terraces.
The choice of cuisine is as diverse as it is authentic with Lebanese, American, Italian, Vietnamese, Singaporean and Japanese cuisines, created by indigenous chefs in each restaurant’s own kitchen.
Great thought and detail has been put into the design of the 674 guest rooms and suites at Grand Hyatt Dubai, reflecting the high standards Grand Hyatt guests historically seek when travelling on business or at leisure. Whilst offering the latest technology and comfort, guest rooms also reflect traditional Arabic culture and heritage, and are decorated in differing neutral tones to create a calm, tranquil ambiance.
All offer superb views, many over the landscaped grounds in which Grand Hyatt Dubai is set whilst looking towards the City’s historical Creek; others afford stunning Sunset view over modern Dubai.
In addition to its deluxe guest rooms and Executive rooms, the hotel offers 4 styles of one and two bedroom suites which also include two Royal Suites on the 15th and 16th floor. Each suite covers 264 square metres of floor space incorporating two bedrooms and bathrooms, a living room, dining room and spacious office and kitchen areas. The suites bespoke interiors which have been painstakingly designed with crystal chandeliers, hand-crafted rugs, luxurious silk window treatments and one-off pieces of furniture.
For those who require the service and luxury of a top-class hotel on their doorstep, Grand Hyatt Residence offer a choice of one and two bedroom furnished apartments, three and four bedroom furnished or unfurnished apartments and four bedroom unfurnished villas complete with housekeeping, butler and delivery services.
Grand Hyatt’s Dubai’s Conference Centre is served by its own private driveway and imposing entrance. Once inside the stylish foyer area, itself an excellent venue for cocktails and receptions, it is apparent that Grand Hyatt Dubai’s Conference Centre is not merely designed as a functional conference facility.
Tastefully furnished with a sweeping staircase leading to upper level meeting rooms, reception and registration desks allow a smooth, speedy arrival for large groups of delegates with a dedicated check-in point for conferences. Here also, Guest Services Managers are on hand to help with plans for incentive or leisure excursions and tours, and to administer useful information on the city and surrounding area.
The Conference Centre offers 4,340 square metres of conference space and has the capacity to accommodate up to 2,000 delegates, theatre-style, within the hotel’s Grand Baniyas and Al Ameera Ballrooms. For smaller-scale conferences, both rooms can be split and are served by a state-of-the-art media room, equipped for high tech multi-media presentations. Further facilities include 11 multi-use meeting rooms, which include two Executive Boardrooms.
All residents and guests of Grand Hyatt Dubai have the benefit of 37 acres of safe, perfectly-landscaped gardens to roam where winding pathways lead past cascading waterfalls and tropical lagoons, towards the hotel’s spectacular pool area.
Fitness-oriented guests can enjoy an energetic game of tennis at the dedicated floodlit Tennis Centre whilst The Grand Spa with its indoor lap pool, squash courts, Spa bar and Zen-inspired treatments offers members and guests definitive well-being.
