Honeywell Aerospace (NYSE: HON) has extended its service center agreement with Turkey-based operator and maintenance specialist MNG Jet to include its line of aerospace electrical products for business aircraft.
Already an established service center for Honeywell mechanical components, MNG Jet becomes the first Honeywell-approved service center in Turkey able to provide a complete service offering for Honeywell business aviation spanning avionics, communications and cabin management systems as well as engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) maintenance. The extension provides Honeywell-equipped operators in Turkey with fast and easy access to local aftermarket support -- mitigating the need to fly abroad for servicing, lowering servicing costs, reducing grounding and maximizing fleet availability.
· MNG Jet has been operating as an authorized Honeywell service center for Honeywell Aerospace's business jet engine and APU portfolio, including the widely used TFE-731 engine, since 2010.
· The extension of this agreement enables MNG Jet to also provide line-replaceable unit (LRU) maintenance and installation of new components from across Honeywell's electrical portfolio, including the company's Primus Epic, Primus Elite and Primus Apex integrated flight decks and cockpit displays, and its Ovation Select cabin management system and satellite communications product line.
· Business jet operators across Turkey and neighboring countries including the Middle East states and Russia can now benefit from MNG Jet's extended servicing capabilities with immediate effect.
Honeywell first established a presence in Turkey in 1992 and currently operates each of the company's four business units: Aerospace, Automation and Control Solutions, Transportation Systems, and Performance Materials and Technologies, in the country. Honeywell's aerospace, refining technologies, advanced gas detectors and building control solutions are helping industries across Turkey comply with more stringent safety and security regulations and improve energy efficiency legislation. With more than 180 employees in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, Honeywell Turkey has seen sales more than double during the past decade.
Honeywell is showcasing its complete business aviation portfolio at MEBA 2012 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from Dec. 11-13 at booth No. 625. For more information on Honeywell's business aviation technology portfolio, please visit http://aerospace.honeywell.com/markets/business-aviation.
