du supports Emiratisation and Empowerment and announces 18 senior level positions for Nationals

Dubai - His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, visited the du stand on the first day of the Annual Ajman Career Fair, hosted at the Ajman University from 25-26 February. His Highness was received by Mohamed al Sabri, Senior Director of National Recruitment and Development, du, who briefed His Highness about the telecom company's 37% Emiratisation target for 2015 in line with its mission to support the UAE leadership's vision of employment and career development for UAE Nationals.

"There is a need to attract talented Emiratis and help boost the UAE's private and semi-government sector. du is participating in the Ajman Career Fair for the first time as part of our continued commitment to supporting Emiratisation initiatives and the Ajman 2021 Vision, which stresses the importance of training UAE Nationals to secure better job opportunities across the UAE," said Ibrahim Nassir, Chief Human Capital & Administration Officer, du.

The telecom operator's participation in the fair is part of its ongoing Emiratisation strategy where du is looking to recruit 18 talented and experienced UAE nationals into senior level positions. du has achieved an Emiratisation percentage of 35.3% in 2014 with 37% of Emiratis in Top Management positions. The company's Emiratisation target is to increase to 37% by end of 2015.

Last year, du garnered the coveted GCC Best Employer Brand Award 2014 and received several accolades lauding its commitment to employees. At the Gallup Great Workplace Awards, du was the only telecommunications company to be recognised amongst the global top 36 companies, for its high employee engagement levels.

Once included in the database, Emiratis will be informed of relevant opportunities that suit their profile, as and when they become available at the company.
