New store marks biggest 'BUILDMART' showroom within a mall
H. E. Khalfan Saeed Al Kaabi, First Vice Chairman, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated today (10.10.10), the AED 50 million 'Danube BUILDMART' in Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi - the largest of all showrooms opened by Danube Building Materials, the leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries, within a mall. Spanning a total area of 35,000 sq. ft., the company's latest retail facility is located near the main entrance, and houses its entire product range in a convenient yet elegant setting. H. E. M.K Lokesh, Ambassador of India to the UAE, was also present at the event, along with Danube Building Materials Chairman Rizwan Sajan, Managing Director Anis Sajan, Dr. B. R. Shetty, Managing Director and CEO, NMC, and senior officials from Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA).
With aims to cater to individual homeowners and designers, the store offers a wide range of products such as chandeliers, wall paper collections, curtains, carpets, luxury sanitary ware, Venetian blinds, wooden flooring, garden accessories, home décor and soft furnishings from international and regional vendors. The 'Danube BUILDMART' outlet in Dalma Mall, which marks the company's 10th store in the UAE and 4th inside a shopping mall, will also have a 'Design Centre', where customers can take floor plans of their houses and take expert advice, excellent service, design assistance and inspiration from consultants.

In addition, the company has diversified into a one-stop shop concept called 'Danube BUILDMART', and has announced that it is looking at an initial public offering (IPO) listing in Saudi Arabia or the UAE within the next 5 years. The inauguration of 'Danube BUILDMART' in Dalma Mall follows the recent launch of an AED 15 million store under the same banner in Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai.
