Group of exhibitions to offer first smart event experience in the region

Dubai, UAE - H.E. Abdelrahim Al Hammadi, Undersecretary for Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has officially inaugurated AgraME, VetME and AquaME, the region's specialist agribusiness, veterinary and aquaculture trade events.

Taking place until 15 March at the Dubai World Trade Centre, AgraME is the region's largest agriculture business exhibition, with the three-day event hosting more than 285 agriculture, poultry and horticulture businesses from 35 countries.

A series of cutting edge content platforms will be running throughout AgraME. Starting today (13 March), the Poultry Outlook Forum will bring together animal health experts, poultry farmers, suppliers, entrepreneurs and new business developers to discuss new scientific research and industry growth analysis over the past year.

Running on day two (14 March), the Agribusiness Outlook Forum will feature keynotes by regional food safety experts including Dr. Muhamed Salman AlHammadi, Director, Research & Development Division, ADFCA, UAE and Dr. Ahmed El Tigani, General Manager, Rawabi, UAE, and will look at the economics of agriculture for the MENA region.

While more than 5,000 visitors are expected to pass through the halls of AGRA Middle East over the next three days, its partner event VetME has witnessed a substantial 25 per cent increase in size.

The fast-growing event for the burgeoning Mid East veterinary industry is bringing together more than 50 international manufacturers and suppliers of veterinary products and services with a highly targeted regional audience. The 2016 edition has also introduced several new pavilions including Korea and Pakistan, offering a new avenue of companies and exclusive product launches to the region.

The group of exhibitions are also offering a new, cutting edge visitor and exhibitor experience at the show this year. A first for the regions exhibition industry, this smart event concept, a partnership between event technology supplier Info Salons and solution provider Konduko, provides organisers, sponsors and exhibitors a 360 degree platform to deliver compelling content to their attendees, while collecting qualified data on visitor behavior and preferences at events.

The crux of the solution is the Konduko Reader: a sensor placed in various locations around the venue for the visitors to collect information from with their smart badge. The Readers, which are pre-loaded with relevant industry content, send an email to the user when engaged in exchange of the visitor's contact details.

This digital handshake initiates a meaningful relationship, and also makes events more environmentally friendly with considerable savings on printing cost.

Officially endorsed by the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, AquaME, formally a section within the AgraME exhibition, is the regions first standalone platform dedicated to the burgeoning aquaculture industry, and will take place alongside AgraME and VetME.
