Global Restaurant Investment Forum to showcase region's growing restaurant sector

Last chance for Dubai Food Festival master classes and at home experiences

Dubai UAE, 11 March 2014

Good business and good cooking are under the spotlight for what is the final week of the inaugural Dubai Food Festival. With over 5,400 restaurants located throughout the Emirate, attention shifted from the undoubtedly delicious to the big business of the Emirate's growing restaurant sector today and tomorrow at the Global Restaurant Investment Forum (GRIF).  Also, building upon almost a month of good food, Dubai Food Festival is reminding foodies it will be their last chance to take advantage of a range of master classes and gourmet at home experiences.

Taking place today and tomorrow (11-12 March) at the Conrad, Dubai, the Global Restaurant Investment Forum is a new event that brings together investors, hoteliers, owners, lenders, F&B brands, franchisors, franchisees, suppliers and other key restaurant and hospitality industry professionals from across the region. With an advisory board that includes the who's who of the restaurant and hospitality sector, and an envious speaker's line up that will see such names as Nicholas Clayton, Chief Operating Officer of Jumeirah Group and Celebrity Chef Silvena Rowe take the stage, GRIF creates a platform to celebrate industry confidence and share best practice.

Also, with less than one week to go, Dubai Food Festival is reminding foodies that it is their last opportunity to take advantage of a number of gourmet master classes and experiences at home.  Among the experiences available is Tortuga @ Home, a gourmet, family-style Mexican meal at home for six to 12 people prepared by Tortuga's own amazing Chef Carlos and the Tortuga team - right in the diner's own kitchen.  For foodies wishing to test their culinary courage and skills, the team at Alta Badia have limited space available in their 12 March Black Truffle Master Class.  In addition to learning all about the art of black truffles, students in this unique class will also take home a recipe book, balsamic vinegar, select olive oil, a culinary gift bag and memories that will last a lifetime.

Launched by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) to highlight the Emirate's strong and growing culinary credentials and continuing until 15 March, the Dubai Food Festival is a citywide celebration of food that features industry conferences, appearances from world-renowned chefs, and a wide range food-related activities, tastings and events.
