Le Méridien Abu Dhabi will celebrate the Bavarian Maibaum Festival on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th April 2012. On these 2 days, starting from 7:00 PM onwards, Le Méridien Village will be transformed into a traditional Bavarian village.

Our guest Chefs from Bavaria will prepare an authentic Bavarian buffet which will be served in the Centre Garden of the Village. The price of the buffet is AED 135 net for adults and AED 65 net for children. As you will be exploring and celebrating the German culture, you cannot miss out on the wide variety of famous German beers.

As at Le Méridien Abu Dhabi we never do things by halves, Alpenklang, a music band directly brought to Abu Dhabi from Bavaria will perform live at Le Méridien Village. Lucky draw and other competitions will take place throughout the evening.

So put on your traditional Bavarian clothing and join us to celebrate Maibaum Festival.

The Maibaum Festival is a typical Bavarian cultural event that has been taking place in towns throughout Germany and Austria since the 16th century. The Maibaum or Maypole is a tall wooden pole, and as required by the tradition strong men have to lift this "decorated tree" at the festival.
